AC servicing: what a proper job actually includes
A technician who only washes the filter is not servicing your air conditioner. Here is the checklist worth paying for.

Dhaka's dust means air conditioners work harder than the manufacturer intended. Servicing them properly twice a year is cheaper than replacing a compressor.
The minimum a service should include
- Filter removal and washing
- Coil and blower cleaning
- Drain line clearing, which prevents indoor water leakage
- Gas pressure measurement
- Electrical terminal and capacitor inspection
- A test run with a temperature differential reading
What is often skipped
The drain line and the outdoor unit coil. Both cause most of the problems we are called to fix in June.
When to call rather than wait
Weak cooling, unusual noise, water dripping indoors or a unit that trips the breaker. All four get worse with time.
